Our members seek to monitor, and to inform the public about vital local, state, and national issues and legislation in these critical times. We try to build credibility and trust by offering accurate and verifiable information in an age where many people promote and tolerate deception in pursuit of self-serving agendas. We often present awards to honor the accomplishments of local citizens and politicians. Below is a photo of our excellent local United States Congressional Representative, Peter De Fazio, In November 2011 receiving our "Pie a la Mode" award recognizing his very effective support for progressive national legislation defending the environment, public education, jobs and our local economy, and transparency and honesty in government.
Our efforts to enhance life in Oregon require us to energetically improve our own organization and resources, and to host and participate in many public appearances. At bottom are shown a few of our members marching and campaigning during a recent Bohemia Mining Days parade.
